Welcome to Deep Space

Overview

Lis and Emily are creating this healing space for folks in our community who want to do personal and collective healing work in a deep and intimate way. This is the second year of offering this very potent experience and we are hosting it in collaboration with Susu Community Farm.

Foundation

The facilitators share a framework based in the understanding that personal traumas are tied to collective/historical traumas and systemic supremacies/oppressions. Our healing is inextricably linked. This space builds on that experience, creating an opportunity to continue to learn to take really good care of each other and ourselves as we disentangle from the harms of capitalism.

Focus

A unique and central feature of this group is that during every session one person will have the focused attention of the group and the facilitators (for about 30-45 min each) to work on what they are needing support around. This is a powerful practice. Each participant will get to experience this and you will get a lot more info when you register. Group is limited to eight participants so everyone can have a turn. Every session will also include a check-in, a somatic practice, and a relational activity.

Facilitators

Both Emily and Lis identify as she/her, queer, white, and somatic therapists who are on-goingly engaged in healing their own personal and collective trauma histories.

Testimonial

"Dealing with all the stuff I’m dealing with it’s the first time I felt like I saw some light. I’ve been feeling like I’m just drowning and just being able to be witnessed and not gaslighted had a huge impact on my resilience and my bodies ability to feel safe enough to keep going. It was a bigger gift than I initially realized it would be and I deeply needed that."
